The Soul Surfer’s Paradise

We found paradise

The rainforest is a superb camp ground that sits behind broken head beach and the perfect mix for the relaxed easygoing feeling after walking around the headland or taking time out from surfing. It is the perfect getaway.
Byron bay is a divine spot. Everyone knows it, and that can be the problem! 7 km south you find this splendid spot just outside town, soul surfers gather with the background of lush forest with only one purpose: wave riding.

.

Waking up to the sound of laughing kookaburras and magpies, we quickly understood that this quiet beach is popular with the byron bay locals who try their best to get some waves without the byron crowds. Everyone seems to know each other and with some patience and a juggle there’s waves for everyone. The point break is perfect for the longboarders, while the beach break offers plenty of fun for the shortboards.

and the sunsets…

Surfing isn’t the only draw card, though.  You could walk for hours along the beach, or walk up to the three sisters and find one of the isolated beaches. We made a pact to head back asap…
