Local pubs. While traveling I love to call in to the local pubs. I believe you will discover (usually) the soul of these small towns. Besides the ice-cold beer and big meals on the counter, the locals love nothing more than to share a colorful yarn with you.
The Injune Hotel Pub was the first building in town. The walls were adorned with history and character. I feel that I went back 50 years in time. A collection of hats and boots from all times and the old beer fridges made me want to hang there for ages. The locals were enjoying a cold one while catching up on the events of the day… Betting as usual. On anything… Horse races, dog races, and any other random thing.
We loved it! The Injune Hotel Pub is as Aussie as you can get.
