I am starting a new love affair.
We crossed tasmania from Devonport to Hobart for new years eve. And what a drive- an inspirational backdrop of jagged peaks and rainforest, and fragile alpine moorlands. At dawn we struggled to avoid the intense wildlife crossing the road – the weird and wonderful marsupials, like kangaroos, pademelons and my beloved wombats.

After stoping Lucy the landy for about 10 times to photograph these animals, i realised that they were literally everywhere!
Ahhh Hobart.. Where it all begins! Is the perfect introduction for my new affair.

Ready to celebrate New Years!

The beauty of of mellow sandstone building, boats from the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race reflected in the silvery water and the Food and Wine Festival made Hobart the perfect place to be.
I quickly told Paul that a one night stand would be impossible at this place, luckily he agreed.

Sampling the local gourmet cheese, pork, beef, seafood, wine set against a backdrop of sail boats and live music I could not have asked for a greater, more luxurious way to begin 2013 than by the water with a platter of fresh Tasmanian produce and wine!

Happy 2013 to you all!
