If you have been dreaming about exploring the cluster of exotic islands filled with jaw-dropping scenery and overshadowed by active volcanoes, rice paddies – then, head to Indonesia.
We could trek through tropical rainforest and hike between rice paddies, hike to pale milky crater lakes amidst vast volcanic plains, sleep on the summit of an active cinder-cone and even watch orangutans swinging through the branches.
Indonesia seems raw, remote and brilliant for a tropical rumble, from having dips in hidden waterfalls, soak in volcanic hot springs and keep our eyes peeled for wildlife along the way…
Now for the Surf
Indonesia is not unknown to many surfers around the world to have many perfect surf spots around its many beautiful islands surrounded by many choices of waves. many of my friends head oft Indonesia couple of times a year to find its perfect surf breaks, white sand beaches, warm and sunny weather and local friendly people. The great thing about it is that the swells come from the south and southwest of Indonesia, so all the coastlines facing in these directions will get a good amount of waves to surf. This includes places like Bali, Lombok, Java, Sumatra, Flores, Sumbawa, Sumba and Timor, just to name a few of the thousands of islands in Indonesia.
Even on an island where humble rural lanes lead to luxurious, $600-a-night resorts, there are wallet-friendly options. Which I must confess it makes me happy.
Yes this seems my kind of trip!
