Sun kissed bodies, bronzes lifeguards, and glorious surf breaking on the golden sand, bikinis, sarongs, joggers – that’s what I was expecting!!!! but noooooo… the must-do coastal stroll between Bondi and Bronte was full of rugged up people, surfers trying (very hard) to catch the messy, MESSY waves and no lifeguards spotted….
The winding cliff-top track takes three beaches and offers entrancing ocean views. The best thing is to move slow….
Start by having lunch at the North Bondi RSL Club (this is a local hot spot!) where you get a beautiful view of the bay and you can get good price for value, beer is cheap! ( the steaks are just great!).. slowly.. walk to the first surf club in Australia (1903) and to the famous lifeguard tower – well if you go on a day like this..maybe move fast..the wind was unbelievable!!!
Stop for a coffee at Icebergs and enjoy one of the most famous swimming pools in Australia.
Follow the path and enjoy the views, the wind and the sand rocks.. In Bronte just lay down on the lawn across the beach and enjoy it!
