After a great day on the beach we all needed marshmallows on a fire
Yamba is a beautiful mix of the old and new and has the bohemian charm of a small fishing and surfing town.
In this one street town of cafes and restaurants sitting under shady trees that are chilled out and boast delicious meals. There are no wild night club here or wild drunken debauchery up the streets. Yamba has the energy of a town where everyone is happy. The locals will talk to you for hours about the secret little surfing spots and are happy to share with you their local favourites. You’d be mad to miss it. It’s one of those places that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

And then there is the Pacific Hotel, where “backpackers arrive here for a couple of days and stay 5 months.” So you can imagine that the 2 nights is just not enough and I am spewing that I don’t have more free days to spend in here. The iconic Pacific Hotel sits on the cliff faces with the best views in town for a schooner at the sunset watching the sky wash over in orange and pink hues.
The view from our room at the Pacific Hotel
When you check in, don’t expect fancy welcome or the ultimate bed, just expect a stunning view from your window.. and this is what you are paying for, not the bed, the facilities but rely the astonish view from your bed to the Pacific Ocean.
